My name is Anna Maria Aprile, and I am the owner of the Agriturismo Masseria (Farmhouse) Aprile, which is located in the lovely Itria Valley at the foot of the hill town Locorotondo. From this very special setting, you can get an enchanting view of the town.
I have inherited the ancient Masseria Aprile from my father; in fact, it has belonged to my family since 1700, the year it was founded.
Together with my husband and my children, Valerio and Stefania, we completely restored the Farmhouse in 1992. We have done so respecting our local traditions according to the skills of the local artisans; and thanks to the so-called ‘Trullari’ - specialized workers in the restoration of Trulli- we have preserved the cosiness of the structure and its natural characteristics. We wanted to preserve the culture connected to the Farm and the magic that comes from breathing in the air all around it.
The Masseria is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the peaceful valley famous for its skilfully cultivated vineyards which in fact produce a very well know white wine: the Locorotondo Doc.
Masseria Aprile is one of the most prestigious farms in the Locorotondo area. It is far from traffic and noise and the chaos of city life, and is the ideal place to spend a vacation in complete peace. Our guests are surrounded by the fresh smells of country life and wonderful natural beauty. The Masseria is rich in history because everything has been preserved by the natural charm of time.
